Return of fans information

Newport County AFC is excited to be welcoming supporters back to Rodney Parade for the first time in more than 12 months for our test event on Tuesday evening.

The Exiles' Sky Bet League Two play-off semi-final first leg against Forest Green Rovers will be the first sporting event in Wales that will have fans present since March 2020.

Season ticket holders who were interested in attending the fixture were requested to register their interest in the ticket ballot by 6pm on Friday 14th May.

E-tickets are now being allocated to season ticket holders and, if successful in the ballot, your e-ticket will be distributed via e-mail by 11am on Monday 17th May. Please note that e-tickets are non-transferable and any tickets that have been transferred will not be permitted. The club reserves the right to refuse admission if the correct ticket type is not presented at entry.

If you are no longer able to attend the fixture, please e-mail tickets@newport-county.co.uk.

Prior to your arrival

As part of a collective responsibility, supporters who are successful in the ballot should familiarise themselves with the Supporters' COVID Code of Conduct which can be found here

Before you travel to the stadium on Tuesday, please check your general health and, if you have any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay at home and follow the government health advice. Please view the latest guidance from Public Health Wales by clicking here.

Children and adults must bring recognised forms of ID such as a passport or driving licence along with your e-ticket. It is a requirement for our track and trace system that we are able to identify everyone making entry to the stadium. You will not be permitted into the stadium without your e-ticket and a form of ID. However, if you are unable to bring a form of ID with you, please e-mail fanfeedback@newport-county.co.uk in advance of matchday.

Masks must be worn at all times when you arrive at the stadium unless you are under the age of 12. If you are exempt from wearing a face mask, you must contact the club in advance of matchday by emailing fanfeedback@newport-county.co.uk to discuss arrangements. You will be able to remove your mask briefly whilst consuming refreshments.

Please remember that every person entering the stadium must have an e-ticket that carries your name and corresponds with the verified identification.

Once you have received your e-ticket via e-mail, check your access point prior to your arrival at the stadium as it will be different to your normal allocated season ticket seat. If you are part of a bubble, please arrive together at the relevant gate.

Access gates

The access gates are as follows:

  • Bisley Stand – Gate 5 (On Corporation Road)
  • South Stand - Gate 5 (On Corporation Road)
  • Compeed Stand – Gate 2
  • Compeed Terrace – Gate 3 (On Rodney Road)
  • North Terrace – Gate 3 (On Rodney Road)

Facilities

Food and drinks will not be available to purchase but soft drinks will be permitted. Please do not attempt to bring alcohol into the stadium.

Toilets will be accessible throughout the stadium, so please follow all guidance and be considerate towards other users.

Arriving at the stadium

The gates will open two hours before kick-off at 6:15pm on Tuesday 18th May. Please do not enter before this time. Gates will then close at 8pm and you will not be allowed entry after this point. Please do not bring any large bags or holdalls as they will need to be searched and this will delay entry to the stadium.

When you make your way to the gate, you will be asked for your e-ticket and ID. You will then be asked a set of questions to confirm that you’re not suffering from any symptoms. Sanitation stations will be situated around the stadium, so please make use of them.

A non-invasive temperature check will also be taken to ensure your temperature is correct. Please proceed to the turnstile where you will scan your e-ticket and make your way towards your seat.

Once permitted through the turnstile

Please only occupy seats that are written on your ticket. For those with terrace tickets, there will be clearly identified standing areas, so please follow the instructions provided by the stewards. You will need to remain there during the game.

Please follow all signage within the stadium as we have introduced one-way systems and separate staircases for access to and from the stands.

We all have a responsibility in ensuring this pilot event is a success so that supporters can return in greater numbers to stadiums in the not too distant future.

Thank you for your support and full co-operation.
