Newport County AFC will take on Southampton at Rodney Parade in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
Michael Flynn’s side booked their place in the second round of this season’s competition after overcoming Sky Bet League One side Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening, with Timmy Abraham’s early strike proving to be enough.
The Exiles, who were ball number 15 in tonight’s draw which took place on Sky Sports, were placed in the southern section and will now take on the Premier League side.
The tie is scheduled to take place on the week commencing Monday 23rd August.
