Newport County AFC's partner Kidscape have diarised virtual workshops for young people and their families to participate in during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Kidscape, who were announced as the club's official partner in March, are a charity who work closely with children, parents, carers and professionals, delivering high impact programmes of support throughout the community to prevent bullying and keep children safe.
They have had to adapt their ZAP resilience programmes for children, parents and carers so that they can be delivered in a virtual learning environment.
ZAP Community Online is a FREE one hour workshop for young people aged 9-16 who are dealing with a bullying situation, or have experienced bullying.
It provides young people with a range of tools to increase assertiveness, build confidence and help manage bullying situations.
As part of ZAP Community Online, Kidscape also provide a supporting session for parents and carers.
The next ZAP Community Online workshops dates:
Wednesday 7th October - 4:30pm-6pm
Wednesday 21st October - 10:30am-12pm
Wednesday 28th October - 2:00pm-3:30pm
Kidscape are also offering digital safety training for parents and carers The workshop runs online for an hour and a half, and aims to equip parents and carers with the knowledge to understand the positives of the digital world, as well as the potential risks associated with keeping children and young people safe online.
During the workshop, parents will learn about harmful content online, cyberbullying, gaming, live-streaming, grooming, popular apps and much more.
The digital safety training for parents and carers workshop will be delivered via the Zoom platform.

Monday 9th November - 10:30am-12pm
Monday 16th November - 5pm-6:30pm
