Newport County AFC are delighted to announce that Viking Print Studio will be our front-of-shirt sponsor for our historic Carabao Cup fourth round clash against Newcastle United.
Viking Print Studio, Pure Vans, Plumbstop, Bistrot Pierre and Hoodhill Motor Company were among the businesses that purchased places on our LED advertisement boards for Wednesday’s game, ensuring they were all entered into a draw to take centre stage on the front of the home shirt.
The draw took place at 6pm on Monday evening, and Viking Print Studio were selected to feature on the front of the Exiles’ shirt for the game against the Magpies.
Viking Print Studio - who are suppliers of personalised clothing garments, workwear, uniform, corporate clothing, PPE, safety equipment, footwear, signage and merchandise - will be part of history when Michael Flynn’s men play in the Carabao Cup fourth round for the first time.
The Newport-based company will be presented with a signed and framed shirt to mark the occasion, while the remaining matchworn shirts will be auctioned off after the match, with 50% of the profits being donated to Alzheimer's Society Cymru. The remaining 50% will be split equally between the two other charities who were part of our #SaveOurShirtContinues crowdfunder - anti-bullying charity Kidscape and JDRF: The type 1 diabetes charity.
Newport-born Callum Evans, founder of Viking Print Studio, said: “Having watched and followed County both home and away since I was a young child with my father, my love for the club continues to grow.
“I’ve been very fortunate to witness several promotions, the great escape and cup runs, including the recent games against Premier League opposition.
“The opportunity for Viking Print Studio to be the main front of shirt sponsor for the televised Carabao Cup game against Newcastle is an absolute honour and dream come true. As lifelong County fans, to see the Viking Print Studio logo on the front of my beloved hometown club shirt is such a proud moment for myself, the business and my family.”
The club would like to thank Viking Print Studio, Pure Vans, Plumbstop, Bistrot Pierre and Hoodhill Motor Company for their continued support.
