CLUB STATEMENT: CORONAVIRUS CIRCUIT BREAK

Following on from today’s announcement by First Minister Mark Drakeford that Wales will enter a national two-week lockdown from Friday 23rd October until Monday 9th November, the club would like to issue the following statement.

As stated by the Welsh Government, fixtures involving professional sportspeople are allowed to continue behind closed doors, ensuring Newport County AFC’s fixtures will not be affected by the lockdown. All matchday staff, including players, officials and coaches will be able to attend fixtures in a working capacity.

In line with the latest guidance, the majority of our office staff will continue working remotely to minimise the risk of transmitting the virus.

Our Kingsway club shop will close on Friday at 4pm until further notice, but supporters will be able to make purchases through our online store.

Emails to office@newport-county.co.uk will be monitored daily. Alternatively, you can call 01633 415376 to speak with a member of staff.

We would also encourage Newport County AFC supporters to check our official social media channels and website to keep up to date with the latest news.
