The winning bidders in the auction for the shirts issued to Newport County AFC players in our historic Carabao Cup fourth-round tie against Newcastle United have been confirmed.
Following victories over Swansea City, Cambridge United and Watford, Michael Flynn’s men made history by progressing through to the fourth round of the competition for the first time in the club’s history.
We gave supporters the chance to own a piece of Exiles history by placing bids on the shirts and, in the process, contribute to three charities.
50% of the profits raised from the shirts will be donated to Alzheimer's Society Cymru - the Exiles' home front-of-shirt sponsor. The remaining 50% will be split equally between the two other charities who were part of our #SaveOurShirtContinues crowdfunder - anti-bullying charity Kidscape and JDRF: The type 1 diabetes charity.
The auction, which finished at 3pm on Saturday 10th October, raised £2285 for the three charities. Alzheimer's Society Cymru will receive £1142.50 of the profits, while Kidscape and JDRF will both receive £571.25.
The highest bidders have receieved an e-mail confirming that they have won their chosen shirt.
We would like to thank supporters for their kind generosity and ongoing support during these unprecedented times.
