Brandon Cooper has been named as the EFL Young Player of the Month for October.
The defender, who has become a key part of County's defence since joining on loan from Swansea City in the summer window, has helped the Exiles on their way to the top of the Sky Bet League Two table.
He made six apperances - against Mansfield Town, Tranmere Rovers, Stevenage, Bradford City, Colchester United and Harrogate Town - throughout October and helped Michael Flynn's men secure maxiumum points in each of them.
Cooper also netted his first professional of his career after heading home in the final stages of County's 2-1 victory against Harrogate Town.
Cooper said: "Personally, it's a proud moment for me, and hopefully I can carry on churning out good displays. I think it's down to the manager and the faith he's shown in me since my debut against Scunthorpe.
"He's given me an opportunity to show what I can do. It feels like I've been at Newport for ages already with the games coming quickly, but I'm loving every minute of playing for the club and manager."
