covid19 community article

As a community-owned club facing unprecedented times we are keen to support our wonderful fans as much as we can in such a difficult environment.

We have been working on a number of initiatives within the club and partners to ensure we support the well being and health of our supporters.

If any of our younger fans have any questions for their favourite players then drop us a line using the following email and we will get you a response.

We will also be emailing out activities to Clwb Spytty members and engaging in online competitions.

These activities will including colouring activities, wordsearches and poster designs.

We work very closely with Charity My Discombobulated Brain and between us we have come up with a daily suggestion to maintain your mental wellbeing.

We will share a weekly calendar for every #WellbeingWednesday until further notice.

Vulnerable Fans

We have this week started reaching out to fans we are aware of that need that little bit of extra support.

This has been in the form of making contact and checking everyone is OK.

We are all part of the Newport County AFC family so if you know someone that needs some support, even if it is just a call let us know and we will drop them a line and make contact.

Media Signposting

There are plenty of great ideas around that will help get through these difficult times and so we will be sharing key messages from partners including Newport Mind and the David Cotterill Foundation in addition to My Discombobulated Brain.

If you have any suggestions for others to try please post them on your social media using the hashtag #OneClubOneCounty for us to share.

In the coming weeks we will be sharing other positive messages and activities for you to do so as to keep you connected to the club whilst we cannot enjoy each other’s company at games.

Remember you are part of the NCAFC family so if you need some help, let us know.

If we can help we will do so. If we can’t help directly it’s likely we will know someone who can.

Further Initiatives

This Friday 20th March Asda will be opening their stores from opening time to 9am to allow the most vulnerable, and those who support them, to shop and get what they need.

NCAFC have worked with Asda Pillgwellny previously and are proud to share their initiative below to help those more vulnerable in society.
