Manager Michael Flynn reacts to NCAFC's 4-2 loss in Cleethorpes against Grimsby Town.
An early goal from Bradley Garmston followed by goals from Josh Benson, James Hanson and Max Wright saw Town to a 4-2 win at Blundell Park.
Jordan Green and Padraig Amond got on the scoresheet for County. Amond’s finish was his 50th goal for the club
On the game, Flynn said, “After 50 seconds we’re already chasing the game. I thought we did well to get back into it.
“We should have taken the lead, the boy hits a great free kick and we’re chasing the game again. We left ourselves a bit open and they get a third.
“The fact of the matter is that we’ve conceded four goals, and I’m not happy with that.”
The Exiles had their fair share of opportunities on Tuesday night, which Flynn sees as one plus he can take, “The chances we created is a positive.
“I’m frustrated tonight because we played some really good stuff, created lots of chances, but we conceded too many poor goals.
“We’ve gone from a few games not really creating any clear-cut chances to tonight, where we created quite a few opportunities. We just weren’t able to get the finishing touch on them.”
County’s next game sees a trip to Oldham on Saturday evening, “We’ve got another tough one Saturday. We’ll go through things tomorrow.”
