Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the season-long loan signing of George Nurse from EFL Championship Club Bristol City, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old left-back joins on loan from the Robins having spent the entirety of the 2018/19 season on loan to Weston-Super-Mare in the Vanarama National League South.
During his stint in Somerset, George tallied up an impressive total of 50 appearances for The Seagulls, netting five goals in the process.
Manager Michael Flynn said: "George will give us competition down the left side. He is very comfortable both going forwards and defending and this move also continues our excellent relationship with Bristol City."
Upon completion of the deal, George Nurse said: "I'm delighted to join the Club. It's a great move for me, a good step up from my time at Weston last season. I am really looking forward to getting started."
