Striker Modou Touray came off the bench for Barry Town United but couldn’t prevent a 4-1 defeat against reigning JD Cymru Premier League champions The New Saints.
Barry striker Kayne McLaggon cancelled out Aeron Edwards’ early opener for The New Saints but Ryan Brobbel restored the lead from the spot.
Touray replaced Keyon Reffell on 67 minutes and almost claimed the first goal of his second spell at Jenner Park in the final minutes but he saw his shot blocked. By then TNS had pulled away with goals from Dean Ebbe and Jamie Mullan.
The Dragons will look to get back to winning ways at Aberystwyth Town on Friday.
Neither Marvel Ekpiteta or Jay Foulston were in action this weekend. Ekpiteta wasn’t involved as Ebbsfleet United beat Enfield Town 2-0 in the Buildbase FA Trophy while Chippenham Town had the weekend off.
