Clwb Spytty Launched

Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the launch of a new Junior Membership Scheme – Clwb Spytty.

Clwb Spytty will replace our previous junior membership scheme (Junior Exiles) and - it has been announced this evening - will also act as an alternative to Junior Trust Membership.  Clwb Spytty membership will entitle members to attend four 2018/19 League Two matches free of charge with an accompanying adult paying £10.

Membership will come with a small fee of just £5 and will include a membership card and an Autograph Book.

Clwb Spytty membership can be purchased in the Club Shop - both in store and online - from 1st October 2018.

Clwb Spytty members will also be given 10% off in the Club Shop (excluding adult clothing or footwear) and will be offered the same priority on Cup Tickets as Trust Members and Season Ticket Holders.

Following feedback from Junior Exiles members, the Club has recognised problems with the previous list-based Junior Membership system.  With Clwb Spytty, there will be no more vouchers or lists involved in purchasing match tickets.  Instead, you will simply take your membership card to the Club Shop before match day and purchase your child and adult ticket for £10.

The Clwb Spytty offer is available at FOUR matches this season with the first one 13th October when Newport County AFC face Stevenage FC at Rodney Parade.

* Please note that the eligible matches are subject to change at the Club’s discretion.

Clwb Spytty is for Newport County AFC supporters aged 0-12.  If the membership proves successful this year, the Club will look to increase membership benefits and grow "Clwb Spytty" in line with the supporter base.  The Club is also currently consulting with supporters about a potential membership scheme for 13-18 year olds.

Media and Engagement Manager, Hayley Ford, commented: "The Club has worked really hard over the past 18 months to increase its Junior Supporter base.  This work was started by former director, Neil Collier, and has now been carried forward by Colin Faulkner and myself.  We have seen an increase in the sales of children's shirts and Season Tickets over the previous two seasons which is really encouraging but there's definitely more that can be done.

"The County in the Community team do a fantastic job at reaching out to, and engaging with, young football fans in Newport and we hope that this discount/ membership scheme will help encourage more and more young football fans in Newport to come to Rodney Parade on a regular basis and make Newport County AFC their team of choice."
