On Monday, Jamille Matt, Mickey Demetriou, Mark O’Brien and Keanu Marsh-Brown went to Griffin Street (just off Newport High Street) to take on the award-winning The Escape Rooms Newport.
A Newport-themed horror story unfolded in-front of the players’ eyes as they found themselves locked in a holding cell by the evil Torture Corp. With just one-hour on the clock, the players had to combine their smarts and bravery and work together as a team to decipher clues, complete puzzles and figure out what’s real and what’s not!
With just one-minute left on the clock (O’Brien: “We like to leave things until the last minute”), the players emerged from the room victorious thanks to some frantic efforts and one-or-two hints.

Speaking after the game, Jamille Matt said: “I always wanted to try an escape room and it didn’t disappoint! We were forced to think outside the box and work together to solve the room. We had a great time, and I can’t wait to try the other room!”
Mickey Demetriou added: "I really enjoyed completing The Escape Rooms Newport with the lads. I didn't know what to expect as I've never done one before but we managed to escape with just over a minute to go. We all had a great time and I look forward to returning in the future."
