Just under a year ago today, Newport County AFC launched their first ever young fans Christmas Card Design Competition. County fans from across Newport were invited to design a brand-new Newport County AFC Christmas Card in the hopes of winning the chance to have their card sold in the Club shop and be mascot for a match.
Our eventual winner was Olivia Basham, whose depiction of a Santa Claus dressed in Amber and slogan of “Up the County, Down the Chimney” made her design a clear winner in the eyes of the judges.
Yesterday afternoon, Olivia joined staff in the Club Shop to see her card go on sale for the first time.
