Another month of fantastic goals to finish of what has been a successful season of progress for the Exiles. County registered 5 through April and here's our pick of the best of them! Don't forget, you can vote for your favourite on Twitter.
Option One: Padraig Amond v Swindon
Described by the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month panel as "a touch of South American magic in South Wales", this goal was special. A sublime first touch set up a hooked shot into the far corner. The striker showed great technique, composure, and strikers instincts to ensure this one found the back of the net.
Option Two: Frank Nouble v Accrington Stanley
A left footed shot into the far, bottom corner might not seem like an obvious candidate for goal of the month, but the fantastic skill, Nouble showed to work himself the shooting opportunity is well-worth it’s spot on this months list. Great strength to hold off not one, but two defenders, a neat chip over the defender’s heads to buy himself a yard of space and a good, low shot to take it past the ‘keeper. Not a bad way to mark your 10th goal of the season.
Option Three: Frank Nouble v Cambridge United
Cambridge United will be sick of the sight of a Newport County AFC badge this season. They’ve lost 3 times to the Exiles in this campaign (twice in the league and once in the cup), each time subject to great goals by the County team. The final home match of the season was no exception. An inch-perfect cross by Aaron Collins, finds Frank Nouble unmarked at the far post who’s volley is perfectly timed to direct the ball just inside the far post. Great finish!
Option Four: Ben Tozer v Swindon
Ben Tozer came close to scoring a number of times against Swindon but his breakthrough came with a neat header from the middle of the box. Ben White should be credited for an excellent ball which curled perfectly past the defence and found Ben Tozer virtually unmarked in the box, but take nothing away from the glancing header which sent the ball into the bottom corner!
