Manager Michael Flynn will join some of the biggest names in Glamorgan Cricket Club's recent history at the Newport Cricket Club 6-a-side day this Friday.
The charity event day will be taking place from 10am at Newport Cricket Club located at the Newport International Sports Village (NP19 4RA). The day promises to be a host of great cricket, big personalities and a lot of fun with a total of eight teams taking part which are made up of local businesses including last year’s champions AECom.
Matthew Maynard, Graham Wagg, Mark Wallace, and Dean Cosker are among the Glamorgan legends’ taking part, with Michael Flynn putting the pads on for the BBC Wales media team.
The event promises to be a great day, with a raffle and fundraising helping to support Newport Junior cricket.
Newport Cricket Club chairman, Mike Knight, said: "So many people have helped to support the event, it will be a tremendous day. It will be great to see so many Glamorgan greats rubbing shoulders with local businesses and cricket enthusiasts, all showing their support for the club."
A good crowd is anticipated and a licensed bar and refreshments will be available throughout the day.
