Earlier today, Newport County AFC were delighted to welcome Chris Cowlin to Rodney Parade on his incredible challenge to visit the 92 Football League Stadia in 12 days.
Just four days into his challenge, and Chris has already visited 22 stadia with Rodney Parade becoming the 23rd stadium visited and the fourth stadium visited today.
Chris has set himself this mammouth challenge in order to raise money for the Willow Foundation. The Willow Foundation is a national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days.
Since 1999 Willow has fulfilled more than 15,000 Special Days for young adults living with life-threatening conditions such as cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and Huntingtonโs disease.
For some their Special Day is the opportunity to return some normality to their lives. For others it is the last chance to fulfil a dream. But for all, at what is the most difficult of times, a Special Day can lift spirits, reunify families and be a source of strength when itโs needed most.
The Club is delighted to support Chris in his fundraising with a signed 2017/18 Newport County AFC Shirt.
What a fantastic welcome from @NewportCounty. Many thanks to them for supporting me as I try and raise as much money as possible for @Willow_Fdn. And thanks for the signed shirt for auction at a later date. Great club. ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐๐#92stadiums12days https://t.co/Cy2SEHJAKe pic.twitter.com/hGerQheu47
