Newport County AFC will be heading to Cambridge United for the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Last Season, the Exiles were drawn at home vs Southend United but, due to the installation of a DESSO Pitch at Rodney Parade, the match was reversed. County fans who travelled to Roots Hall were treated to a fantastic 2-0 victory over the League One outfit with both goals from Shawn McCoulsky.
County were rewarded for their efforts with a trip to Elland Road.
This season, County's Carabao Cup journey begins with a trip to League Two rivals Cambridge United. County have a good recent record against The Us having secured victory over them three times last season (twice in the league and once in the Emirates FA Cup Second Round).
Carabao Cup First Round Matches will be played on the week commencing 13th August 2018. Match details will be announced in due course.
