Newport County AFC are delighted to announce that Bristol City U23s defender Cameron Pring has joined the Club on loan until January, subject to international clearance.
The twenty-year-old left back joins fellow Bristol City loanees Tyreeq Bakinson and Antoine Semenyo in the County squad. Pring is noted as being both quick and strong and is comfortable at left back and left midfield.
Pring joined Bristol in 2016 and impressed enough to earn himself a new deal at the end of the 2016/17 Season. He arrives at Newport County AFC with plenty of experience of men’s football thanks to time at Aldershot Town, Merthyr Town, Hereford FC, and Guernsey FC.
After signing the deal, Pring told iFollow Exiles: "I’m very excited to be here. It’s a great club, all the feedback I’ve heard tells me the fans are great, all the boys are great and I’m really looking forward to getting started.
"Back at Bristol City, I’m a left-back and I know Mike Flynn likes to play with wing-backs so it’s perfect for me.
"The style of play here at Newport County AFC is everything that works for me. It’s a perfect move."
Manager Michael Flynn added: "I’m delighted to have got Cameron in from Bristol City. He can play left midfield, left-back or left wing back. I’ve watched him a few times, he’s got a good pedigree and it just goes to show that the relationship we’ve got with Bristol City is really good.
"Cameron played against us in pre-season and we also went down and watched him when they played Yeovil. He’s very quick, he’s strong and he’s got a good left foot. I feel we’ve got the right player who will give us that balance down the left-side which I think we needed."
