This Saturday, we are welcoming members of the Every Player Counts from Swindon Town as we continue a friendship between the two teams. The first friendly between the two sides took place back almost a year ago and they have competed on several occasions since.
We Wear the Same Shirt is part of “Time to Change” and proudly states that we are all part of the same team regardless of the nature of our mental health issues. At Newport County, we are proud to call ourselves One Club One County and the NCAFC We Wear the Same Shirt side have proudly warn the Black and Amber whilst winning the Plate Final at FAW Trust We Wear the Same Shirt tournament at Dragon Park and during a number of friendlies against Swindon Town.
Whilst the first team enjoyed a very happy trip to County Ground (and came away with a very well-earned three points), the NCAFC We Wear the Same Shirt Side also enjoyed an excellent trip which included matches, food and tickets to enjoy the game.
The Club is delighted to welcome Swindon Town’s Every Players Count’s team to Rodney Parade on Saturday. The County in the Community team have planned some matches earlier in the day, before both sides head for a meal and eventually join us at Rodney Parade.
Make sure you’re cheering on the home team during their half time kick about. It’s sure to be a fantastic showcase of fair play, friendship and fantastic football.
We are looking forward to welcoming the County and Swindon teams to Rodney Parade on Saturday.
Join us at the game!
