Newport County AFC are delighted to announce that Scot Bennett has signed a new two-year deal with the Exiles.
Scot has proven a big part of Newport County AFC playing a key role in keeping the Club in the Football League last season as well as contributing to an incredible FA Cup run this Season. Scot can play both centre back and centre midfield.
On completion of his new deal, Scot Bennett spoke exclusively to iFollow Exiles: “I am absolutely delighted. My family are all settled here in Newport, I have had a great two years so far and I am looking forward to the future. Comparing the two years I have had here, it has been an unbelievable turnaround. I think we can go and kick on again next season now and achieve even more than we have this season. I am looking forward to it."
Manager Michael Flynn added: “Scot is a big plus for the Club. He is a versatile player and has really bought into the ethos of the club. I am sure Scot will continue to make a positive impact on and off the pitch.”
