During half time at yesterday's game, The Smile Council Committee presented Newport County AFC Academy Manager, Byron Anthony, with a cheque for £1000.
The cheque was presented by committee member Chris Thomas and life long county fan Kate Evans and her son Jai Hopkins.
The Smile Committee are a group of fans who attend home games, away games as well as organising events to help raise funds for the Academy.
They have raised over £25,000 over the course of four season which has gone to the Junior Academy, U18s side and local charities such as Serrenuu Centre and Llamau.
On discovering that the Smile Council were donating £1000 to the Academy, Academy Manager Byron Anthony said: "The academy is grateful again for the support from the Smile Council Committee. Donations in previous years have supported our development overall, so again this will go towards continuing that."
