grimsby what's on

We're back home this week as we look to continue our unbeaten home record against a difficult Grimsby Town team.

According to the stats, there's no team in League Two creating more chances and shots than Newport County.  With a brand new pitch allowing us to play entertaining and effective football, there's never been a better time to support the 'port.

What else is going on at Rodney Parade this Saturday?

Half Time Draw

As always, our Volunteers will be around selling tickets for the Half Time Draw.  You can find all about the prizes by visiting the Half Time Draw page on our website.

Matchday Programme

This week's matchday programme includes an interview with Joe Day where he discusses everything from being spotted by Crystal Palace at a young age to taking part in a school sports day which saw the javelin he through land in the middle of Brighton & Hove Albion's pitch!  There's also a poster of Frank Nouble, plenty of Junior Exiles activities, an update from the Academy including an introduction to U18s midfielder Owen Taylor and much, much more.  We will also be thanking James Watts as he moves onto a new role at Hereford FC.

Half Time Presentation

The Smile Council Committee will be presenting the NCAFC Academy with a cheque for £1000.  They have been fundraising in order to provide the Academy with the best possible chance of continuing to produce fantastic youngsters such as Luke Evans, Regan Poole, Aaron Collins, and - most recently - Rhys Davies who made a move to Leicester City in the summer.

We will also be thanking James Watts for his efforts over the past five years with a half time presentation by Chairman Gavin Foxall.

Kids Zone (weather dependent)

Running from 1pm - 2.45pm, our Kids Zone will be open on the grass just outside the marquee.  County in the Community will be back with soccer skills on the grass which is free to join and the ever-popular assault course will be making a welcome return.

Marquee Fans Zone

We will once again be opening the Home Supporters Fans Zone in the We Fight Any Claim Marquee.  Supporters will be able to listen to music and use the bar ahead of the game.

Supporters in the Hazell Terrace and Hazell Stand will also be able to access the Marquee at half time.

Charity Collection for Leukaemia Care

Our charity this week is Leukaemia Care who are going "spotty" for Blood Cancer Awareness Month.  Find out more about what they're up to on Saturday by clicking here.
