Newport County AFC's Mitch Rose will Serve a Five Match Ban

Newport County’s Mitch Rose will serve a five-match suspension after he admitted an FA charge of improper and/or violent conduct.

The incident, which occurred outside the jurisdiction of the match officials, followed the player’s dismissal against Cambridge United on 18 February 2017.

The matter was heard by an Independent Regulatory Commission, which imposed the suspension along with a £1,000 and a warning as to his future conduct.

Meanwhile, Newport have been fined £2,500 and warned after admitting a charge of failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour and/or violent conduct in relation to an 89th minute incident during the same game.
