With Manager Mike Flynn away in Portugal completing his UEFA Pro Licence, Wayne Hatswell and Lennie Lawrence will take charge of proceedings for the following two fixtures against Chippenham Town and Merthyr Town FC.
Chippenham Town
The Exiles’ third pre-season game in preparation of the 2017/18 season is a trip to Hardenhuish Park where we face The Bluebirds – Chippenham Town F.C.
Champions of the Southern League Premier Division last season, Chippenham Town are currently playing in the Conference South. Mark Collier`s side are sure to provide a stern test for the ‘Port with this being The Bluebirds second pre-season friendly.
Former County man Andy Sandell is sure to feature against his former side in his now preferred forward role. He was crowned League top scorer last season for Chippenham, scoring 27 goals.
The team fielded on Tuesday will be majority first team players with a few trialists, with the following game on Wednesday against Merthyr featuring trialists, a few academy players and a few first team players.

On Wednesday we travel to Penydarren Park for a tough test against Gavin Williams’ men and a fellow fan owned club - Merthyr Town FC.
Finishing third last season in the Southern Football League, two places below Chippenham, The Martyrs play on a 3G surface installed thanks to a Welsh Government grant. This is sure to provide a different test for the County players on Wednesday evening.
Like Chippenham, our fellow Welsh neighbours could also field some former County faces such as Scott Tancock who played for the Amber while on loan from Swansea City and also Kyle Patten who started his professional career with the Exiles, but only made one appearance for us.
