We are delighted to offer your school the opportunity to take part in the Newport County AFC St David’s Day Competition 2016/17.
The competition is open to groups and schools associated with County in the Community, across the whole of Gwent.
The themes for the entries are Wales or Newport County AFC.
There are two categories that entries will be judged on. Children can enter either of the categories, or both if they’d like;
• Artwork (Picture, Flag, Photograph, Model etc.)
• Written (Story, Poem etc.)
A Primary School winner will be chosen for both the Artwork Category and Written category. A Secondary School winner will again be chosen for both the Artwork category and Written category. (2 Primary School winners & 2 Secondary School winners)
The children can enter by email, post or hand deliver to the Newport County AFC Office, Rodney Parade NP19 0UU. They also have the option of handing their entries to one of the County in the Community coaches while they are visiting their school.
The entries must be submitted by Friday 17th February 2017 with work being judged during Half Term, and the winners will be announced on Monday 27th February 2017.
The winners will be fortunate enough to receive the prize of 2 Hospitality tickets for Newport County AFC vs Leyton Orient on Saturday March 4th 2017. This includes a 2-course meal, hospitality for the game and a match day Programme, which will have the winning entries featured inside. There will also be 8 pairs of Runner up match day tickets up for grabs.
