As widely reported in various media outlets today Newport County AFC can officially confirm the loan signing of David Pipe from Eastleigh has recently been concluded.
The thirty three year old defender rejoins the Exiles in time for this weekend’s Sky Bet League two encounter with Stevenage at The Lamex Stadium.
David Pipe was originally signed by Newport County in 2011, making over 100 appearances for the club. David was also inducted into the Newport County AFC Hall of Fame in 2015.
Speaking after the loan deal had been agreed manager Graham Westley said “ David is a seasoned pro, a Club stalwart, and an experienced leader with a passion to re-establish Newport County as a respected League 2 outfit. We need to start making a serious mark and he brings the character and resilience that we need right now."
The loan deal will run to the end of the season.
