Newport County AFC academy star Rhys Kavanagh joins Bristol Rovers Development Squad.
Newport County AFC have agreed compensation with Bristol Rovers for Rhys to today sign for Bristol Rovers and join their development squad.
Rhys joined the academy at Under 16 and it was evident from the early stages that he had a lot of potential. Rhys continued to develop and impress during his two year scholarship with the Club which seen some of the top clubs monitoring his progress.
Last season Rhys found the back of the net 28 times in 32 appearances for the Under 18s and was a standout performer.
Everyone at the Academy and the Club would like to wish Rhys every success at Bristol Rovers and his future development and career.
