Following the WRU’s recent takeover of Rodney Parade, it has been deemed necessary to reassess the matchday operations which has included, hospitality, accessibility, ticketing, and matchday parking.
The Club have been in close consultation with Rodney Parade to ensure an improved matchday experience for all supporters and, most importantly, improved safety inside the stadium particularly in reference to matchday parking.
With carparking spaces in the ground already limited and the Club’s obligations to groups such as directors, sponsors, staff and volunteers, the Club is unable to offer parking onsite to the general public, with the exception of supporters who require accessible parking.
For the 2017/18 season the Club is able to provide 20 spaces – 18 for Home supporters and 2 for Away supporters – in the main stadium carpark to supporters requiring accessible parking. In addition, the Club has secured an additional 20 spaces in the overflow carpark at Maindee Primary School where the DSA will be operating a drop off and park service at the rear of the Bisley Stand.
The safety of home and away supporters is of paramount importance at all times and the above measures will ensure a safer matchday experience for all those attending matches at Rodney Parade this season.
