Jon Parkin will immediately join National League side York City on loan with a view to making the move permanent when the window opens in January.
Jon joined Newport County AFC in the summer and has started in 9 games with 3 draws and 6 losses.
The club recognises Jon has family in the North and geographically it makes sense.
