WARREN FEENEY: 'I NEED A RESPONSE FROM MY PLAYERS'

The Manager gives an honest assessment of the performance, following Tuesday's defeat at home by Barnet.

County conceded three goals at home to Barnet, which ended a four game unbeaten run at home.

"I told the players that we aren't in a position where we can relax and think we have done enough, because we haven't," the Manager told the press after the game.

He added, "I am an honest person, and last night I felt the players gave up."

"I can't really be too hard on the lads, as they have been brilliant for me and we will get them going again for Saturday."

With a trip to promotion chasing Portsmouth on Saturday, Warren wants the players to put right Tuesday's defeat, with a much improved performance at Fratton Park.

"I need a response from my players"

"Saturday's game is massive now, just to see who wants to respond to a result like Tuesday's."

"I believe in the players, but you can't go on a run like we have enjoyed over the past few weeks and perform like we did last night."

"The players have got it in them, and I don't know if they are a little bit tired or what, but we never got going against Barnet and it was disappointing from the off."

"I know what the character of the players is when the team is winning, but it is easy when you are winning games."

"Maybe I should have freshened it up, but I wanted to keep the team together, as they have given me some good performances over the past couple of weeks. We just wanted to keep the good performances going, but unfortunately last night the performance was unacceptable."
