SCOTT BODEN NOMINATED FOR PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD

The striker has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for February.

Scott, who scored in each of our three games in February, helped the team go through the month unbeaten.

The striker has fourteen goals so far this campaign and has found the net in each of the last three home games, scoring the only goal in our victories over Carlisle United, Mansfield Town and Wycombe Wanderers.

Below are the other players nominated for the award;

Bradley Fewster (York City) – striker

His first month as a 20-year-old was a memorable one for the Middlesbrough loanee with five goals in as many games. His directness and penchant for taking a shot early helped York to home wins against Notts County and Exeter City.

Rod McDonald (Northampton Town) – central defender

In his first year since arriving from non-league Telford, he has become a mainstay of a Northampton defence which conceded just one goal in six games. Pacey and mobile, he also ventured forward to score with an overhead kick at Leyton Orient.

Oscar Threlkeld (Plymouth Argyle) – midfielder

Acting as a shield in front of the back four, the Bolton Wanderers loanee was outstanding in February, particularly in the 0-0 draw at West Country rivals Yeovil Town. Energetic, mobile and consistent as Plymouth conceded only one goal all month.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.

The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
