JAZZI BARNUM-BOBB SIGNS FOR COUNTY

Newport County AFC are delighted to announce the signing of young full-back Jazzi Barnum-Bobb, who joins the Club on a one-year deal.

The right-back, who appeared twelve times for the Exiles during a loan spell last season, will reinforce Manager Warren Feeney's defensive options heading into the new season.

Born in London, Jazzi began his footballing career at Watford FC, before moving to join Cardiff City in 2014.

During the 2014-15 season, Jazzi made two appearances for Cardiff in the League Cup and signed a contract extension during Ole Gunnar Solskjær's tenure at the South-Wales club.

Last season Jazzi joined the Exiles on loan and was part of the squad for our memorable victories over Wycombe Wanderers and rivals Bristol Rovers.

Speaking after finalising a deal to rejoin the Exiles permanently, Jazzi relayed his excitement at returning to Newport County AFC.

"I'm delighted to sign for Newport County AFC,” Jazzi told the Club's website.

"There are a lot of new faces that Warren has brought in over the summer and it is a very exciting time to be joining the Club."

"There has been a lot of changes here at the Club, but the one thing that has stayed the same is that Warren is here and I'm really looking forward to working with him next season."

Manager Warren Feeney added, "I'm pleased that we have managed to secure the signing of Jazzi on a permanent basis."

"When he was here on loan last season I thought he did very well and the fans really took to him."

"He's a young kid, who is always looking to learn and he has plenty of potential and will fit in well with the squad we are building here and Jazzi will provide a good balance for us."

"He has got games behind him at this level and I'm sure he will be a great addition for us."
