Following discussions around priorities for the forthcoming season between the Board and the 1st team manager the Club are pleased to announce the arrival of Sean McCarthy as first-team team coach.
Sean arrives at the Exiles with a wealth of experience, having begun his playing career with hometown team Bridgend Town, before moving to Swansea City. During his playing career, Sean had spells at Plymouth Argyle, Bradford City, Oldham Athletic, Bristol City and Exeter City, scoring 171 goals in 547 appearances.
After making the progression into coaching, Sean spent time working with Paul Jewell at Ipswich Town, before joining the backroom staff at Plymouth Argyle, where he worked under former County boss John Sheridan.
In addition Michael Flynn has accepted a role within the club as Football and Business Development Director. The role will focus on developing closer links to the business community as well as progressing the academy towards its ambition of category three status.
The Board consider this role to be key in the Club’s progression and future growth.
The changes will take place with immediate effect.
