EXILES SIGN CONNOR DYMOND

County secure the loan signing of Crystal Palace U21 captain…

The Club are now in a position to confirm the arrival of Connor Dymond from Crystal Palace FC.

The youngster has previously spent time on loan at Barnet F.C, making a handful of appearances for the Bees, before progressing through the youth setup at Selhurst Park.

Connor was an unused substitute for Palace in their Premier League Boxing Day fixture against AFC Bournemouth.

Speaking at his weekly press conference, Manager John Sheridan announced that he was in the market for a defensive midfielder and was looking to get a deal completed soon.

“I feel as though I need a defensive midfielder in my team and I am hopeful of getting one in by tomorrow,” said the Manager.

The loan signing of Connor comes just in time for him to be eligible for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers at Rodney Parade, subject to international clearance.

Connor’s loan deal will run until February 13th, meaning that he will be on hand for our crucial Sky Bet League Two games against Dagenham & Redbridge, York City and Morecambe F.C.

Connor’s signing is the second loan signing of the day for the Exiles, as the Club earlier confirmed the capture of Ben Davies from Preston North End.
