BEN DAVIES EXTENDS LOAN UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON

Defender Ben Davies extends his loan until the end of the season.

The twenty-year-old defender has made six appearances during his initial loan spell at Rodney Parade, after making his debut for the Exiles in our 1-0 victory at York City in the middle of January.

Davies, who played the full ninety minutes of Saturday’s home victory over Carlisle United, will now remain with the Exiles for the remainder of the Sky Bet League Two season.

“I have been enjoying my time here so far and everyone has made me feel very welcome, from the players down to the staff,” said Davies.

“I feel like I have fitted in quite well to the team and I am more than happy to have the deal extended to the end of the season.”

“The initial deal was only for a month and that time has flown by. We have managed to pick up a couple of good results and we have a squad here that can really kick on and progress.”

“Between now and the end of the season we just need to concentrate on winning as many games as we possibly can, firstly to ensure that we are safe in this division and then to push on to the next level.”

Manager Warren Feeney added. “I am delighted to have Ben on board until the end of the season.”

“He has done very well since he has arrived and he’s certainly hit the ground running during his time with us.”

“Ben is enjoying his football here, which is a big factor. He is playing regularly, but he also knows that there are good players waiting that can also play in his position, so it keeps everyone on their toes.”

“The lad has a great character and the whole squad have taken to him.”

In addition to the news of the extension of Ben’s loan deal, the Club can confirm that Connor Dymond has returned to Crystal Palace on the expiry of his loan deal.

The Club would like to thank Connor for his efforts during his time with us and wish him all the best for the future.
