The Club can today confirm the signing of eighteen-year-old goalkeeper Marcus Beauchamp on a deal until the end of the season.
The 'keeper, who won the 2014-15 Barclays Under-18s Premier League 'Save of the Season' award, played in numerous pre-season fixtures for the Club as a trialist.
The former Norwich scholar has continued training with the Club in recent weeks, working alongside Joe Day and goalkeeping coach, James Bittner.
Speaking about the new addition to his squad, Manager Warren Feeney welcomed the competition for places.
"I'm delighted that we have been able to sign Marcus," said the Manager.
"He is a player that comes from a good background in the game and his arrival will help the squad as a whole."
"Joe Day has been fantastic so far this season and the signing of Marcus will enhance the work they do with James Bittner and will offer us healthy competition for places."
The young goalkeeper added that he was excited to get the deal done and is looking forward to settling into the squad.
"It has taken a few weeks to get the deal over the line, but I'm pleased that the deal is now done and I can look forward to working with the players for the season ahead.”
"I have enjoyed working with James Bittner and Joe Day on a day-to-day basis, which has been a great experience for me. It is a big difference from training with the U18's like I was doing at Norwich, and working with the first-team on a daily basis is great for my development as a player and I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
