The Supporters Trust would like to make fans aware of the 'Rewards and Benefits' scheme...
Following the launch of the Share Scheme, the Trust has also launched the Rewards and Benefits scheme based on supporters making monthly donations.
This scheme is critical in ensuring that our takeover proposal is sustainable - not just in the short term but also in the medium term and for future seasons – and we hope supporters will be able to provide commitments prior to its introduction in October.
The inspiration for the scheme comes from Hearts' Trust where the introduction of the scheme has resulted in 8,000 members, which is half the average attendance, raising £1.4 million per annum. On a pro rata basis if we were able to replicate the success of the Hearts scheme it would lead to an income stream of close to £300k per season - based on an average contribution of £187.50 per annum (the vast majority of contributors in the Hearts scheme donate £10.00 a month).
In order to ensure inclusion, we welcome suggestions from supporters on the rewards and benefits package and we will use this information as part of our review, taking account of any feedback and suggestions received prior to implementing the scheme. Forms are available at Saturday's game and will also be available on the Trust website and can be returned to: Newport County AFC Supporters Trust C/O Newport County AFC, Rodney Parade, Newport, South Wales NP19 0UU.
Once again thank you for the ongoing support not only with the Share scheme but also the Rewards and Benefits package which will transform how our football club is run.
