Last year’s event was a sell out with more than 250 riders – including former international trio Terry Butcher, Matt Holland and Luther Blissett, together with Preston North End boss Simon Grayson.
Yorkshireman Grayson is making no promises, but there’s strong suspicion that he’ll be back in the saddle:
He said: “I think it’s brilliant that the ride will cater for football teams both in the north and the south. It will make it easier for northerners like us to get our bikes over to the start point – although I hear the northern leg’s terrain is much hillier!”
In 2015, the collective Men United squad raised a whopping £350,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, an amount which will go a long way in helping men who are affected by the disease and crucially pave the way for new research and treatments.

Registration fee is £149. Each rider will pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship to help fight back against a disease that affects one in eight men in the UK.
