Speaking after his loan extension had been confirmed, Tommy said “I am happy here, I’m playing games on a regular basis and enjoying it”.

“It was nice to get my first senior goal and I was just happy to see it go into the back of the net.”

“I went into Cardiff in the week and they were all saying well done to me, so now my aim is to keep it going.”

“I just want to play as much as I can now up until January, and hopefully score a few more goals!”.

Jazzi commented on the news of his extension by adding, “I came here to do well in the initial month that I was here and get as many games as I could, this extension is another chance for me to get more games, which is exactly what I want”.

“I think it is a perfect fit with Cardiff and Newport being so close. People can come down to watch and that is always a good incentive for me, knowing that there is always going to be people from Cardiff observing me and that spurs me on to do even better”.

“The system we play really suits me, in the wing-back role you have to cover a lot of ground during the game and hopefully I can carry on doing well in that position”.

On the prospect of making his debut in the FA Cup this weekend, Jazzi stated, “I am excited, it’s a competition I have never played in. I have made appearances in the League Cup, but never the FA Cup.”

“The FA Cup is the more traditional competition and hopefully we can get a win on Sunday and then see how far we can go”.

The extended loan deals will see both players remain at Rodney Parade up to and including our home fixture against Hartlepool United.
