Scott Barrow talks to the Official Newport County Website and Exiles Player.
"I know a lot about Newport being a Welsh lad, being given the chance to play in the Football League is a dream come true" admitted new signing Scott Barrow, adding that "to play for Terry Butcher will be an honour."
Barrow, born near Swansea, joined from Macclesfield and admits that a move to closer to home was part of the attraction in signing for County. "It's good to be closer to home, it will be nice for my family not having to travel four hours to come and watch me play.
Scott played in front of fellow new County signing Rhys Taylor, and Barrow is a great admirer of the former Welsh international 'keeper. "Rhys is a great player, it says it all last year when he kept 20 clean sheets in a season, he pulled off some saves that I've never seen a 'keeper pull off before."
Barrow also says that he is excited by the prospect of playing in the Football League, something he admits is a 'dream come true' "The Conference is a tough league, but now in the Football League I'll be playing in bigger grounds in front of bigger crowds and I'm relishing the chance.
