Chris Gadsby takes a look at the teams County will face next season
The 2015/16 season fixtures have been released and Newport County have been given a trip to Cambridge on the opening day on August 8th followed by an away trip in the first round of the League Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The festive fixtures see County play Barnet away on Boxing Day and Luton at home on December 28th before the season draws to a close on May 7th when they face AFC Wimbledon in London.
Last season’s conference champions Barnet begin life back in the football league with an away trip to Leyton Orient whilst Bristol Rovers, the other side promoted to League 2, host Northampton Town.
The other new sides in League 2, Crawley Town, Notts County and Yeovil Town play Oxford United away, Stevenage away and Exeter City away respectively.
