14Last Season:th– After losing the first two games of the season, Dagenham and Redbridge found themselves bottom of the football league and would continue to flirt with the relegation zone up until Christmas. A run of eleven points from fifteen in early 2015 though saw them put distance between themselves and the bottom two. Their season included a couple of 4-0 wins over AFC Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley. They found form in the second half of the season and began to make strides up the table, finishing only twelve points off the playoff places in fourteenth, only six points behind County.

Jamie Cureton – the side’s runaway top scorer last season with twenty goals in all competitions, a total that was more than twice as many as Ashley Hemmings, Dagenham’s next top scorer. Key Player:

Prediction:In much the same way as I predicted for AFC Wimbledon last week, I feel that Dagenham and Redbridge rely too much on a single player to score their goals and win them games. If they are able during the summer to secure some other players capable of scoring goals as prolifically as Cureton, then they have the potential to properly challenge for the playoff places or even automatic promotion but without that they run the risk of Cureton hitting a dry spell in the season or getting injured, which would place their season in jeopardy.
