Detailed look at Saturday's game against AFC Wimbledon...
Looking at the visitors
A.F.C Wimbledon currently have a perfect three way split after 21 games of their season having won seven, drawn seven and lost seven and find themselves in 14th in the league. They come into the game against the Exiles winless in five after losing at home to Stevenage last weekend by two goals to one. Unsurprisingly their star player is also their top scorer. Deemed the strongest player in the world according to the Fifa 16 video game, Adebayo Akinfenwa has five goals already this season along with Lyle Taylor, and Akinfenwa in particular will be looking to make life very difficult for Newport’s back line.

Last meeting
It was A.F.C Wimbledon who were victorious the last time these two sides met at the beginning of February thanks to two goals from Akinfenwa after 11 and 72 minutes. It was Newport’s first game without Justin Edinburgh in charge but despite the loss the Exiles remained in sixth place in the league and three points into the playoff places.
Last time out
A 96th minute winner from Liam Noble snatched a point away from the Exiles in a seven goal thriller at Meadow Lane against Notts County. After going 2-0 up inside the first ten minutes thanks to goals from Mark Byrne and Alex Rodman, the Magpies fought back and with a brace from Noble and Izale McLeod eventually took the game by four goals to three.
