PREVIEW: Leyton Orient

Date: 22nd August 2015

Kick-off: 3pm

Venue: Rodney Parade, Newport

Focusing on Newport

Newport have started the 2015/16 season in much the same way as they started the 2014/15 season. By this point last year County had lost their first four games in all competitions and found themselves near the foot of the table, before turning their season around and climbing up to the playoff area. The Exiles return to Rodney Parade this weekend to face newly relegated Leyton Orient who currently sit top of the table having won their first three league games, scoring eight goals. They are going to provide a very tough test for Terry Butcher’s men.

Looking at the visitors

After being relegated last year into League 2, Leyton Orient have made the perfect start in their quest to return to the third tier of English football. With a 2-0 win over Barnet on opening day followed by a 3-1 victory over Dagenham and Redbridge and a 3-0 win over Stevenage in mid-week, they are travelling to South Wales full of confidence.
