County beaten on the road by a strike from Scott Fenwick.
County named an unchanged starting eleven from Saturday's draw with Stevenage and didn't have to wait long for their first chance on goal. Seth Nana-Twumasi, lurking at the edge of the area, hit a well-timed volley that dipped narrowly over the crossbar. The early chance spurred County to enjoy an early spell of pressure. Danny Holmes looked eager to get forward along the right wing and created an opportunity for Mark Byrne to shoot at goal, but the skipper saw his effort rise just over the crossbar.
After the break the home side imposed more pressure on the County back-four and it took just four minutes from them to break the deadlock. Scott Fenwick picked up the ball inside the County half and hit a long range effort that thundered into the top corner and out of the reach of Joe Day.
County found chances hard to come by in the second half. Regan Poole easily had the best chance for County to equalise, heading a Scott Barrow corner just over the crossbar.
