Newport County manager Jimmy Dack talks to the press following the 2-0 defeat to Bury.
Jimmy Dack admitted that the better side won following the 2-0 home defeat to 4th placed Bury. "I think we had a few early chances, but we've come up against a very good side here today. They're in good form, a good solid side and very experienced.County had started brightly, but were punished by Bury's first effort on goal which snuck in off Ryan Lowe. "We had a few chances early on in the game and didn't take them. It's the same old story, we go a goal down and were chasing the game."
Dack says his players can't afford to be disappointed about the defeat for too long "there's four games to go, I said before today that we're not going to win them all. We go to Southend, we draw a line under today and we move on to Tuesday.
Despite dropping out of the play off places, Dack still feels his side can bounce back into them should they get three more wins under their belt. "Bury and Southend were always going to be two massive games, but we're where we are because we've done well this season. We''ll go to southend and try to get a win, we can't get too disappointed on the loss, there's no point.
"We've got four games to go, we've got to dust ourselves down and prepare for Tuesday night."
