Newport County AFC Supporters' Partnership

A meeting of representatives of Newport County AFC Supporter Groups and the Club Board of Directors was held at Bar Amber on Tuesday 2nd September.  

The following attended: Les Scadding, Chairman.  Howard Greenhaf, Director.  Jackie Tutton, Financial Director.  Dave Boddy, Chief Executive.  David Hando, President/Subscription Draw.  Bob Herrin & Jeff Challingsworth, Supporters' Club.  John Williams & Adrian Evans, Business Club.  Phil Burgess County Lottery.  Duncan Jardine & Richard Taylor, Programme Team.  Andrew Perry & Mike Jones, Smile Council.  Mick White, Club Shop.  Phil Sergeant & Jon Bowkett, Trust.  Tom Tremayne & Chris Silverthorne, County Choir.  Kevin Morris & Steve Rose, 100 Club.

 

Following a wide ranging and open discussion the following was decided:

 

The Club Committee, with two representatives of each of the supporters' groups, would be renamed 

THE SUPPORTERS' PARTNERSHIP.

 

Its purpose would be to work together with the Board to further the interest of the Club in unity and transparency.

 

The Board would make it clear when confidentiality was required; otherwise the representatives would report back to their groups.

 

The Partnership would normally meet with the Board of Directors at Bar Amber on the first Thursday of the month.  The Partnership would meet at 6pm, to be joined by the Board at 7pm on the following dates:

 

2nd October

6th November

Tuesday 2nd December (Club Carol Service on the Thursday)

1st Jan (may be changed)

5th Feb

5th March

2nd April

 

The groups would co-ordinate their activities and a Club Calendar would be compiled.  The Partnership would negotiate with Rodney Parade and endeavor to obtain a competitive deal.

 

The County Carol Service would be held at St John's Church, Maindee at 7pm on Thursday 4th December.

Vote for Player of the Year at the Dagenham & Redbridge game on Saturday 18th April.

Presentation of Awards in the Bisley Lounge after the Oxford game on Saturday 2nd May.
