Fixture Release Day - Live
We'll be keeping you updated on all the latest news throughout the day regarding the official Fixture Release for the Sky Bet League 2 2014/15 season.Here's a look at the official fixtures for the 2014/15 Sky Bet League 2 fixtures:
AUGUST
We'll start the 2014/15 season at Rodney Parade where we will face Wycombe Wanderers on the opening day of the season. We then travel to Reading in the Capital One Cup, the first of three consecutive away games as we face Morecombe and Mansfield on the 16th and 19th respectively. It will then be back to Rodney Parade for the second home game of the season when Burton Albion visit on Saturday 23rd. If we progress past Reading in the first round of the Capital One Cup, we will face round two in the week commencing 25th August before travelling to Portsmouth for the final game of August.
SEPTEMBER
The first game of September will see midweek cup action, in the form of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round, with the NATO Summit in Newport it is likely any home tie may be delayed. We then welcome Cambridge United and Northampton before trips to Tranmere and Shrewsbury. The final game in September will see us at home to AFC Wimbledon on the 27th of the month.
OCTOBER
The month of October will bring us five game, with three at home and two away. We start by travelling to the Kassam Stadium and the home of Oxford United, before welcoming York City on the 11th. A trip to London is in order for our visit to Dagenham & Redbridge, before two home games finish off the month against Southend United (Tues 21st) and Accrington Stanley (Sat 25th).
NOVEMBER
We start November away from home with a trip to Hartlepool on the first day of the month, it will then be luck of the draw as we wait to see who we will face in the FA Cup First Round on Saturday 8th November. It's then Exeter who will make the short trip to Rodney Parade, before trips to Bury and Carlisle on the 22nd and 29th of the month.
DECEMBER
The start of the month will see FA Cup Round Two action on Saturday 6th before returning to Sky Bet League 2 action with Stevenage at home. We then enter the start of the festive period that sees three games in eight days with Luton Away (20th), Plymouth Home (Boxing Day) and Cheltenham Away (28th) as the final game of 2014.
JANUARY
January will see us start the New Year with two home games in the form of Carlisle United (3rd) and Portsmouth (10th). We then move onto two away games visiting Cambridge United on the 17th and Northampton on the 24th. The final game of January sees us welcome Shrewsbury Town on the last day of the month.
FEBRUARY
A total of five fixtures during February will see us play three away games and two home games. We start away with AFC Wimbledon (7th), before Tranmere Rovers home (10th), Wycombe Wanderers away (14th) and Morecambe home (21st). The month ends with an Away trip to Staffordshire to face Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.
MARCH
Six fixtures in the month of March will see three home games and three away. We start with Mansfield Town at home, before travelling to Stevenage. We then have two consecutive home games with Cheltenham Town and Luton Town, which will be followed by two consecutive away games facing Plymouth Argyle and Accrington Stanley on the 21st and 28th of the month.
APRIL
A further six fixtures to enjoy during April and the first two fixtures take place over Easter weekend, when we'll face Hartlepool United at Rodney Parade and Exeter City away on Easter Monday. We then face Bury home the following Saturday (11th) followed by a trip to Southend on April 14th, before the arrival of Dagenham & Redbridge on April 18th. The last Away game of the season will see us travel to York for the penultimate game of the season.
MAY
The final game of the season will see Oxford United visit Rodney Parade on Saturday 2nd May.
