Latics Role for Lane
Tim Lane joined the Club as Football Secretary & Media Officer at the beginning of the 2013/14 season and in April 2014 we announced that he was relocating to the North West of England leaving his role in June 2014.Chief Executive Dave Boddy described Tim as a great "team player" and a valuable member of the Newport County AFC "family". He also stated "on behalf of the Chairman, Board of Directors, Justin & everybody involved with the Club I would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him the best of luck for the future".
Which is why we're pleased to see Tim take up a role with Sky Bet Championship side Wigan Athletic as Assistant Secretary. Dave Boddy stated on the news that "He made a massive impression in terms of his professionalism, quality and ability. Tim has a big future in the game and I believe that he can go to the very top of his field".
